From February 26 to March 2, temperatures in the south of Russia will be 6-14 degrees below normal

Temperatures 7-14 degrees below normal are expected in the Southern Federal District from February 26 to March 2. A similar situation is forecast in the regions of the North Caucasus, Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, told TASS.
"In the south of the European part of Russia, cold weather is forecast until the end of February and in early March, the temperature will be 6-8 degrees below normal. In the Volgograd, Rostov, Astrakhan regions, Kalmykia, Adygea, the temperature will be 7-11 degrees below normal, in the Krasnodar region - 8-14," he said.
In the Volgograd and Rostov regions, the temperature will reach minus 19-22 degrees, in the Astrakhan region - minus 15, in Kalmykia - minus 16. "In the republics of the North Caucasus, the minimum values will be minus 8-15 degrees, and in the Stavropol region and Karachay-Cherkessia - even 16-20 [degrees] below zero," Vilfand noted.
