Shot: In Mauritius, a robber attacked the house of Russians and robbed them
Residents of Mauritius suddenly turned against Russian tourists, threatened them with violence and began attacking their villas. This was reported by the Telegram channel Shot.
It is specified that compatriots living in the resort country began to fear for their safety. Thus, on the night of February 26, an attack occurred in the quietest area of the island. A robber armed with a pig-breaker broke into the house of Evgeny and his family in Pereybere.
The criminal was wearing a mask and gloves. He put a gun to the Russian's stomach and demanded valuables and money. The frightened tourists gave him their phones, watches and bags. The robber left, but returned after a while. Then Evgeny agreed to exchange the stolen goods for one thousand dollars (86.5 thousand rubles). The thief agreed and left the house again, but returned a third time, complaining of thirst.
The victims said that the attacker drank three liters of water and threatened them not to contact the police. Now Evgeny, his wife and children live with the owner of the villa. He hired security for them and changed the locks on the house. After what happened, many of his compatriots are afraid to live in private houses and are moving to hotels.
Earlier, graffiti appeared on the Spanish island of Tenerife calling for violence against tourists. It is specified that one of the local residents complained about the graffiti: he also opposes mass tourism, but does not support calls for violence.
