Medvedev Calls on US to Conduct Operation Against 'Drug Mercenaries' in Kyiv

Medvedev Calls on US to Conduct Operation Against 'Drug Mercenaries' in Kyiv

Mercenaries from the cartels of Colombia and Mexico are being deployed in combat operations in Ukraine, the United States, which wants to fight drug cartels in Latin America, should send its army special forces to Kiev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said on his Telegram channel.

Earlier this week, a RIA Novosti source said that mercenaries from Mexico and Colombia were fighting on the Ukrainian side, and that they had been trained in the use of attack drones at training centers. Ukraine allegedly suspected some of these mercenaries of trying to transfer these skills to international criminal organizations such as drug cartels.

Against this backdrop, the Americans should "think twice," Medvedev believes. He pointed out that if the US really has instructed the Pentagon to prepare strikes against drug cartels in Latin America using army units, then they should "send their army special forces to Kyiv, where they will be able to conduct a brilliant anti-terrorist operation to exterminate drug mercenaries without any risk to life."
