Rehabilitation doctor and TV presenter Sergei Agapkin gave advice to Russians who have problems with sleep. On the air of the program "About the most important" on the channel "Russia 1" he named a product that improves the quality of sleep. Agapkin said that cottage cheese will help improve sleep. As the specialist explained, this product contains tryptophan, an amino acid that helps the body produce the sleep hormone melatonin.
Earlier, Agapkin said that fermented foods protect against dementia. The doctor specifically included sauerkraut and apple cider vinegar among them.
Before this, Agapkin warned about a common disease that can lead to problems with internal organs. According to him, some forms of herpes impair the immune system and lead to damage to the brain and liver.
