The US has invested more than $500 million in creating a pro-Western Ukraine

RIA Novosti, citing public reports from the United States Agency for International Development, reported that Washington has invested more than $500 million in creating a national identity for Ukraine that is oriented toward the Euro-Atlantic course.
As the publication notes, after the start of the military conflict in Ukraine, the agency signed two additional contracts with Chemonics International.
"These contracts were part of the third and fourth phases of the initiative to strengthen Ukraine's confidence. Their value was $180.2 million and $252 million," RIA Novosti writes.
The aim of this program was to “strengthen national unity and support reforms aimed at Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic course.”
