The youngest city in Russia is considered to be Oyskhara in the Chechen Republic. This is what Rosreestr called it, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the State Catalogue of Geographical Names, the settlement acquired the status of a city quite recently - in 2023. Taking into account the law of the Chechen Republic of December 15, 2023, the status of Oyskhara was changed from a village to a city.
