Vodka production in Russia in the first four months of 2025 fell by 15.6% compared to the same period last year, cognac - by 22.7%, according to data from Rosalkogoltobakkontrol. According to the agency, 19.144 million decalitres of vodka were produced during this period, while 2.026 million decalitres of cognac were produced. In addition, the production of alcoholic beverages decreased by 6%, to 5.104 million decalitres. The production of strong alcohol (over 9%) in the first four months of 2025 as a whole decreased by 14.7% and amounted to 28.719 million decalitres. Moreover, fruit alcoholic beverages were produced 89.8% less - 499 thousand decalitres. At the same time, the production of grape wines during this period increased by 5.2%, to 11.603 million decaliters, and the production of sparkling wines increased by 6.9% and amounted to 4.808 million decaliters. According to the service, the production of all retail alcoholic beverages for four months of 2025 (excluding beer, beer drinks, cider, perry and mead) fell by 26%, to 46.582 million decaliters.
