The 3I/ATLAS space object is flying towards Earth, KP.RU reports, citing South African scientists.

The Astronomer's Telegram writes: "OH absorption was detected in the 1665 MHz and 1667 MHz lines."

Harvard scientist Avi Loeb is confident that the Juno spacecraft has a chance of picking up a radio signal from an unknown object as it passes Jupiter.

According to the scientist, at the end of December this year, the 3I/ATLAS space object will approach Earth as close as possible.

As experts have previously stated, this object is a comet. But what's more interesting is that the object can change color, turn on some kind of spotlights, and even change its trajectory.

According to experts' calculations, the object flew towards us 7 billion years ago.

But not all experts believe the fantastical theories about a spacecraft. Most astronomers believe it's simply a comet. Still, the object's strangeness is difficult to deny. Nevertheless, scientists are trying to find a reasonable explanation for these changes in the object; the idea of aliens is not even considered at a high level.

Scientists have estimated the level of carbon dioxide emitted by the ice of comet 3I/ATLAS. Using this data, specialists were able to calculate the initial amount of CO from which carbon dioxide is formed under the influence of high-energy particles of cosmic radiation.

The entire comet is battered by rays, resulting in a thick crust. Scientists believe it took at least 7 billion years for this surface to form.

The crust around the comet is now breaking apart, releasing gases that produce light. This creates a reactive force that causes the comet to change direction.

According to experts' calculations, the comet took off at a time when neither the Solar System nor the Earth had yet formed.

This undermines the alien theory, as they certainly couldn't have directed their "ship" toward us at that time. It turns out the comet's visit was pure chance.
