An IETT bus whose brakes failed in Avcılar crashed into another bus, closing the road to traffic

The incident occurred yesterday evening on University Street in Avcılar University Neighborhood. According to the information received, the brakes of the İETT Private Public Bus with the license plate 34 HO 1900, which had passengers inside, allegedly failed. The bus, whose driver lost control of the steering wheel, skidded backwards and crashed into another İETT Bus with the license plate 34 TP 7806 coming from the same direction before coming to a stop. The passengers, who panicked after the accident, were evacuated from the bus in a short time. Police and health teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The road was closed to traffic.

Police teams who arrived at the scene took precautions by closing the street to vehicle traffic in both directions. There were no casualties or injuries in the incident, and the bus was removed after the work was done. Traffic returned to normal again.

On the other hand, the road that was closed due to the accident and the efforts to remove buses from the scene were viewed from the air.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
