Breaking news: Russian and US delegations to meet in Istanbul tomorrow

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that Russian and US delegations will meet in Istanbul on Thursday for talks on returning the work of embassies to normal.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that senior Russian and American diplomats will meet in Istanbul on February 27 to discuss the return of normal activities of embassies in both countries.

"Such a meeting will take place tomorrow in Istanbul and I think its results will show how quickly and effectively we can act," Lavrov told reporters in Doha.

LAVROV'S VISIT TO ANKARA

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov visited Ankara on February 24, on the anniversary of the Ukrainian War.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan hosted Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov in Beştepe. The Ukrainian war, regional issues and bilateral relations were discussed during the meeting held at the Presidential Complex.
