Chery is playing for leadership in the sector with new energy vehicles

Chinese automotive giant Chery Group continues to draw attention with its sales performance in the first five months of the year. According to the news in Donanım Haber; the brand, which sold 205,732 vehicles in May, achieved 9.1 percent growth compared to the previous year. Chery, which stands out with its performance especially in the new energy vehicle (NEV) segment, increased its sales in this area by 47.7 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 63,169 units. This strong increase shows that the brand's investments in electric and hybrid vehicles are starting to pay off.
Chery Group’s export figures continue to rise. The company exported 100,737 vehicles in May, an increase of 7.7 percent, and sold a total of 1,026,517 vehicles in the first five months of the year. This figure indicates a 14 percent growth compared to the previous year and means reaching the 1 million sales threshold faster than ever. New energy vehicles stand out as an important part of this success. It sold 287,798 NEVs in the January-May period, more than doubling its sales compared to the previous year. With these developments, Chery maintains its position as China’s largest automobile exporter with an export performance of 443,940 units.
Strengthening Steps in the European MarketChery continues to make strategic moves to expand its presence in the European market. The company signed dealership agreements in different countries on the continent in April, thus strengthening its sales network. It announced its European strategy to the public by participating in the Barcelona Motor Show in May with CSH (Chery Spain Holding). This move is seen as part of Chery's approach that prioritizes localization not only in product sales but also in after-sales services. The brand aims for permanent and sustainable growth in Europe thanks to this two-way strategy.
Technology and Customer Focused ApproachChery is rising to an important position in the automotive sector not only with its vehicle sales but also with its investments in energy transformation and smart transportation systems. With the acceleration of the company's globalization process, the total number of customers has exceeded 16.7 million as of May. Approximately 4.94 million of this customer base is from abroad. Thus, Chery is increasing its brand value by reaching a wide user base both in the domestic market and in the global arena.
