Employment opportunities for 1613 students at Ondokuz Mayıs University
1613 students were selected from the 7,901 students who applied to the İŞKUR Youth Programme as a result of the draw.
The İŞKUR Youth Program, which aims to employ young people and gain professional experience, offers various opportunities to students. Students whose names are drawn will take an important step in the business world by benefiting from the advantages offered by the program.
Speaking to reporters at the draw program held at the OMU Atatürk Cultural Center, OMU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Alper Kesten stated that they held the draw openly, in the presence of a notary.
Kesten said, "The quota given to us was for 1613 students to work part-time at our university's central and other campuses within the scope of the program. We will be conducting the draws for these students today and the paperwork for them to start working later on. This program is very nice. I think this project will make a great contribution to our students both this term and the next term."
Kesten stated that students from all departments of the university applied to the program and that the students who will be employed will be provided with financial support with a daily allowance of 1083 lira.
Kesten said, "The students who started now will work from March 3 to June 30. In the following period, as long as this program continues with the decision of our state, it will continue with the same lottery system. Currently, these students will work for over 16 weeks. The fee will change according to the students' working hours. We will try to employ our students in various places of our university outside of class hours, in a way that suits their abilities."
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Çetin Kurnaz, Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erhan Burak Pancar, academicians and students attended the program.
