Mayor of Beykoz detained
The Istanbul Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued a detention warrant for four suspects, including Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler, on charges of "rigging a tender."

According to the news in AA, on the other hand, arrest, detention, search and seizure orders were issued for 17 suspects on charges of "rigging a tender" and "establishing, being a member and aiding an organisation to commit a crime".

In line with the instructions, Köseler was detained by teams from the Financial Crimes Department of the Istanbul Provincial Police Department.

CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik made the following statement on his social media account after Köseler was detained:
"Our Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler was detained at 04:00 at night after his house was raided by a large number of police officers. This treatment of a 65-year-old Mayor whose place of residence is known and who will give a statement when called, is the last link in the chain of oppression.
We stand by our President. We are following the process with our lawyers and organization. The "timed" operation carried out at midnight on the day our President Ekrem was to give a historical speech in Ankara is nothing more than the desperation of those trying to design politics with the stick of the judiciary.
Those who think they can stop the Republican People's Party with these futile efforts are greatly mistaken. No matter what you do, the CHP's presidential candidate will be the next president of Turkey!"
