ÖSYM president: 99% of the quotas in state universities have been filled

According to the placement results of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (2025-YKS), 99 percent of the quotas in state universities have been filled.
The statement came from Bayram Ali Ersoy, President of the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).
Ersoy announced in his statement on the social media platform Next Social, which is advertised as "local and national," that the quotas for associate degrees are fully filled:
"All of the state university programs requiring high-achieving grades are full, including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and law. The occupancy rate in engineering programs exceeded 97 percent, while the occupancy rate in teaching programs reached 95 percent.
Our candidates showed great interest in the programs based on artificial intelligence, green transformation, and digital technologies in health and agriculture that we have implemented as part of the employment-focused transformation we have initiated in the higher education system.
“In the 27 programs we opened for the first time this year, including three undergraduate and 24 associate degree programs, not a single quota remained vacant.”
Placement results for the YKS exam were announced today. Results can be accessed at ykssonuc.osym.gov.tr . Candidates can register at the universities they were accepted to between September 1st and 5th.
