Passenger plane narrowly escapes disaster in the USA

A Southwest Airlines jet was about to land in Chicago when it came face to face with a private jet that had already landed on the runway, CNN reported.
The passenger plane narrowly escaped a crash by skipping the runway and later landed at Chicago Midway International Airport.

UNITED AIRLINES PASSENGER PLANE MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING
According to the New York Post (NYP), the United Airlines Boeing 757-200 type passenger plane, which took off from Newark Liberty Airport in the state of New Jersey at around 06:00 local time, was scheduled to land in Las Vegas.
The plane, carrying 176 passengers and 6 crew members, returned to the airport from which it took off and made an emergency landing after staying in the air for 1 hour due to mechanical failure.
No one was injured in the incident.
A SIMILAR EVENT ON THE SAME DAY
Passengers were evacuated from a Delta Airlines plane in the US state of Georgia after the cabin was filled with smoke.
In a statement made by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), it was stated that the Delta Air Lines Boeing 717 type passenger plane returned to the airport after taking off from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport due to "haze or smoke" seen in the cabin.
