Performing the Night Prayer
One of the virtues of the Isha prayer is that it brings peace of mind and soul because it is performed later in the night. This prayer provides an opportunity to be alone with Allah after the tiredness and worldly concerns of the day. In addition, the dhikr and prayers performed after the Isha prayer purify the soul and bring peace to the heart. Many hadiths indicate that a person who performs the Isha prayer regularly will attain the mercy and forgiveness of Allah.
Another virtue is the good news that performing the night prayer will forgive a person's past sins. Performing this prayer is seen as a kind of preparation for a person to perform the morning prayer. The night prayer strengthens the spiritual aspect as a prayer that uses the night for worship that disturbs a person's sleep. The virtues of night worship have great value in Islamic culture. Because it is believed that worship performed at night is more valuable than those performed during the day.
One of the virtues of the night prayer is that it is considered a means of getting closer to Allah. This prayer helps a person's heart to soften, to distance themselves from worldly worries and to turn to Allah. The night prayer is a great opportunity to revive the night and serve Islam. It is stated in the hadiths that those who perform the night prayer will be more willing to perform the morning prayer, where they will be filled with the blessings of Allah and will be far from evil. In this respect, the night prayer is not only a form of worship, but also a process that matures the person spiritually.
HOW MANY RAKATS DOES ITS NIGHT PRAYER HAVE?
The night prayer is the night prayer performed after the evening prayer in Islam and is a 4 rakat fard prayer that can also be performed as sunnah and nafilah. This prayer is the last of the daily fard prayers and is performed between the evening and morning. There may be those who want to increase the intensity of the prayer by adding 2 rakat sunnah and more nafilah rakats in addition to the fard.
The obligatory part of the Isha prayer consists of 4 rakats. These 4 rakats require the prayer to be performed in a certain order. The first two rakats of the prayer are performed normally, while the third and fourth rakats are performed with prostrations. In each rakat, Surah Fatiha is recited first, followed by another surah (Zamm-i Sura). At the end of each rakat, ruku and prostration are performed.
The night prayer, unlike other obligatory prayers, is performed more in the time period following the evening prayer and is very valuable for those who want to worship in a time period approaching the night. After the obligatory part, 2 rakats of sunnah and optional nafilah prayers are added.

HOW TO PERFORM NIGHT PRAYER?
The night prayer is an obligatory prayer performed between the evening prayer and the night prayer, and like all prayers, it is performed in the same way for men and women. However, some of the behaviors and body movements of women during prayer may differ from men. These differences are related to clothing, body lines and tone of voice, but the content and form of the prayer are the same. The night prayer is performed as follows.
Intent:
When starting to pray, one makes the intention. One makes the intention to perform the obligatory part of the night prayer.
The intention can be made as "I intend to perform the obligatory part of the Night Prayer for the sake of Allah."
Takbir of opening prayer:
When starting the prayer, hands are raised to ear level and "Allahu Akbar" is said.
Qiyaam (standing):
During Qiyaam, the hands are tied at the level of the abdomen. Men tie their right hands over their left hands, while women tie their hands in front of their bodies, keeping their arms closed.
Fatiha and Surah Surah:
In each raka'ah, first Surah Fatiha is recited and then another Surah is recited (Surah Ikhlas, Surah Falaq etc.).
Men read loudly. Women read quietly or softly, but they should not raise their voices so loud that others can hear them.

Ruku:
After reciting the Fatiha and the Zamm-i Sura, the hands are placed on the knees and the ruku is performed. Men try to keep their backs straight and align their shoulders during ruku.
Women should keep their backs straight and their bodies covered as much as possible while bowing. They should cover their shoulders and hips completely.
Prostration:
After bowing, prostration is performed. The prostration style is the same for men and women. Women should pull their knees to their stomachs during prostration and keep their body lines as closed as possible. While men support themselves with their hands on the ground, women should perform prostration with more delicate and elegant movements.
In prostration, one says, "Subhana rabbiyel azim" (same for men and women).
Qiyaam and the second rakat:
In the second raka'ah, the same movements are made as in the first raka'ah, but the Fatiha and the Zamm-i Sura are repeated.
Tahiyyat (sitting):
Sitting is performed every two rakats. Men place their hands on their knees and sit on their left foot, lifting their right foot up. Women sit by closing their legs more tightly and placing their hands on their knees.
Tahiyyat prayer: "May Allah's peace and blessings be upon you, O Prophet, and His mercy and blessings be upon you..."
Hi:
At the end of the prayer, the prayer ends with the greeting to the head and right. While giving the greeting, "Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmetullah" is said to the right and left.
Women are required to cover their bodies as much as possible during prayer. It is recommended that they cover their hair and body with loose-fitting clothes. The Isha prayer is not performed during the daytime, independent of other prayers, but is performed between dusk and night.
