Some areas in Şırnak have been declared special security zones

In a statement made by the Governor's Office, it was stated that in accordance with the Law No. 2565 on Military Prohibited Zones and Security Zones, Bestler-Dereler within the borders of the central district of Şırnak , Gabar Mountain within the borders of Güçlükonak, Cudi Mountain within the borders of the central, Cizre and Silopi districts, Kurt Mountain within the districts of Silopi and Uludere, Kelmehmetler, Dönmezler, Kovankaya, Tahtareş, Hüsrevpaşa regions within the borders of the Beytüşşebap district, Suhurpaşa Yaylası, İncebeldağları, Faraşin, Altındağları, Oymakaya region within the borders of Beytüşşebap and Uludere districts were declared special security zones for 15 days between February 26 and March 12 in order to ensure national security, public order and security, to prevent incidents of violence and to prevent any negative situations that may occur.

The statement reported that the coordinates of the regions in question were shared on the governor's office's website, and noted that it was important for citizens not to enter these areas without permission in terms of their life and property security.
