The President of the 7th Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Appeals was elected in the 155th round

The race between Aytekin Sakarya, Erdoğan İshakoğlu and Berrin Aksoyak began in June 2024. No results were obtained in the elections that continued for approximately 9 months.

The results came out from the ballot box that the members of the Supreme Court went to today. In the 155th round of the election since June, Erdoğan İshakoğlu received 102 votes, and Aytekin Sakarya received 187 votes. While 312 members voted, 4 blank and 19 invalid votes came out of the ballot box, Aytekin Sakarya became the new president of the 7th Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court.
