There were allegations of arson in the death of 'Aunt Necla'! Fire department report released

Ülker Güleryüz , who fed stray dogs in the Gültepe Neighborhood of the Altındağ district and was known as ' Auntie Necla ' in her circle, had her dog named 'Bambam' taken by municipal teams on February 18. Güleryüz reacted to her dog being taken along with the stray stray dogs that were collected. Ülker Güleryüz's reaction to municipality officials and his attempt to stop the vehicle were captured on camera. That same evening, a fire broke out in the shanty house where Güleryüz lived. While the fire was extinguished by the fire department, Ülker Güleryüz lost his life. Güleryüz's body was laid to rest in Karşıyaka Cemetery yesterday after the autopsy procedures.

According to initial investigations by fire and police teams, it was stated that the fire was caused by an electric heater in the house, and a large-scale investigation was launched to investigate the possibility of arson.
'ARSON CLAIM'
While animal lovers who heard about the fire came to the area, neighbor Yasemin Ünal stated that she last spoke to Güleryüz at around 17:00 before entering the house and that no gas cylinder or stove was used in the house. Ünal, who stated that the house may have been set on fire for this reason, said, "I saw the fire, ran and broke the door. I shouted, 'Aunt Necla come out', maybe she got up and fell at that moment. I don't know if she died from smoke poisoning or from burning, she probably died from burning. I tried to put it out with water but I couldn't."

'NO FLAMMABLE OR CORROSIVE SUBSTANCE WAS FOUND'
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the death of Güleryüz. The Ankara Regional Criminal Police Laboratory Directorate conducted an examination of the samples taken from the scene. It was stated that no flammable or caustic material was detected as a result of the examination. Cable samples were also examined in case it was possible that it came from an electrical system. It was noted that the fire was not caused by electric current. In addition, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office requested that the Ankara Fire Department conduct an examination into the cause of the fire. The examination conducted by the Department determined that the fire was caused by the stove. The report sent to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office as a result of the examination noted that 'the fire occurred due to the ignition temperature of various textile products or plastic products such as carpets, rugs and quilts that were close to the stove due to the heat of the stove' and 'the fire spread to the clothes and quilts that were up to the ceiling and grew.' The Fire Department also reported that no flammable or caustic material was found at the scene that would indicate arson as a result of the examination.
