Where is the Stork Festival and how long will it last? Dates of the Stork Festival


Eskikaraağaç Stork Village, affiliated to the Karacabey district of Bursa , will host the Eskikaraağaç Stork Festival, where nature, art and science come together, between May 31 and June 1. The festival, which has become a tradition in cooperation with the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and Karacabey Municipality, will host nature lovers with colorful events this year.
The opening of the festival will begin with workshops on Saturday, May 31 at 12:00. The official opening ceremony will be held at 18:30 on the same day, and will include a stork procession, ribbon cutting, opening speeches and a commemoration ceremony for Prof. Dr. İsmet Arıcı. On the first night of the festival, beloved artist Bora Duran will take the stage at 22:00.
TRANSPORTATION IS FREE As part of the festival, free shuttles will depart from in front of the Karacabey Municipality building every hour on Saturdays and Sundays, starting at 13:00. The fact that transportation is free provides significant convenience for the local people and those who want to participate from surrounding districts.
EVENTS APPEALING TO PARTICIPANTS OF ALL AGES
During the two-day festival, many events such as workshops for children, nature walks, bird watching tours, boat trips, concerts, rhythm shows, story recitals and science workshops will be organized. The workshops, which will be held in cooperation with Bursa Yuvam, Bursa Museum and Science and Technology Center (BTM), will provide unforgettable moments for the little participants.
Supported by UNESCO and holding the title of "Living Village", Eskikaraağaç also draws attention as a stopover point for migratory storks. During the festival, visitors will have the chance to get to know this natural heritage up close.
