While trying to solve his family problems, he paid 700 thousand TL

A person residing in Yenipazar district met an unidentified person who introduced himself as a 'hoca' on social media in order to solve his family problems. The citizen applied to the gendarmerie, stating that he was defrauded by leaving 7 gold bracelets worth approximately 700 thousand TL at a point in Yenipazar district for the person who said he would solve his problem.

Taking action upon the application, the Aydın Provincial Gendarmerie Command JASAT and Yenipazar District Gendarmerie Command teams determined, as a result of coordinated image review and detailed investigation, that the fraud was carried out by a vehicle with a known license plate coming from Konya, 500 kilometers away.

When the fraudster made different promises and demanded the bracelet again, the individuals named EK (39) and Ö.U. (37) who came to get the bracelet were caught. During the search conducted on the suspects and their vehicles; 15 thousand 580 TL in cash, 16 bank cards belonging to different banks, 3 mobile phones, 1 pepper spray, 1 imitation bracelet were seized.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
