Protests against unlawful detentions in the US

Turks, who formed a platform under the name of 'March 19 Platform', protested 'extrajudicial detentions' in Türkiye at demonstrations held in Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York.
Holding banners around empty chairs representing Murat Çalık in city squares, protesting Turks chanted slogans such as "Freedom for Murat Çalık" and "No to Extrajudicial Punishment!" They demanded freedom for Ayşe Barım and Barış Kahraman, whose health conditions were deteriorating.
During their protests, they also demanded justice for Osman Kavala, Selahattin Demirtaş, Can Atalay and many other detainees.
Canan Güllü, President of the Federation of Turkish Women's Associations, who is in the US for talks at the United Nations and Washington, DC, attended the protest in New York.
Güllü said, "Women, who played a role both on and behind the front lines in the founding of the Republic, also have a say in this struggle for democracy. The issue isn't just Ekrem İmamoğlu's imprisonment, but all the unlawful acts. A struggle is underway to establish the rule of law in Türkiye. And this will continue until the rule of law is reestablished."
The March 19 Platform hosted former Liberal Democratic Party Chairman Cem Toker for the third of its digital "Democracy Vigil" panels. The panel discussed Türkiye's rapidly deepening authoritarianism, the suspension of rule of law, and the possibilities of democratic resistance.
Turks in the US announced that they will continue protesting until the "Extrajudicial Punishments" end in Türkiye.
