Sacrifice market density in Bahçelievler

The activity continues to increase in the sacrificial animal sales area established by Bahçelievler Municipality in Çobançeşme Neighborhood. While sacrificial animals have started to arrive at the area, sales continue intensively due to the interest of the citizens. This year, 132 tents were set up in the Bahçelievler sacrificial animal area, 100 tents were allocated for cattle and 32 tents for small cattle. It is planned to sell approximately 2,500 cattle and 5,000 small cattle. All animals are taken to the area after health and document checks by the municipality's veterinarians. Considering the needs of the citizens and the sellers, social facilities such as cafeteria, prayer room, toilet, shower, sink and parking lot were also put into service. Slaughtering areas were prepared in hygienic and modern conditions. While the slaughtering point for small cattle is located within the sales area, the modern slaughtering facility prepared for the cattle is 600 meters away from the area.

The municipality has taken all precautions to ensure that the sacrificial animals are slaughtered in an environmentally friendly, hygienic and animal welfare manner. It was reported that the slaughter will be carried out under the supervision of a veterinarian in accordance with technical conditions. Bahçelievler Municipality Veterinary Affairs Director Tibet Bayhan made a statement saying, "Sales have started with the entry of the sacrificial animals into the area. Our citizens can shop with peace of mind. All controls are carried out meticulously."

Municipality teams continue their work in the field to ensure that citizens have a peaceful and healthy Eid al-Adha.
