Special education students in Sultangazi received great appreciation at the TÜBİTAK 4006 exhibition

Sultangazi Mevlana Primary School special education students Abdülsamet Aytimir and Şevval Güven attracted great attention with their painting and origami exhibition held within the scope of TÜBİTAK 4006 Science Fair. The students, who produced beautiful works with the videos they watched and the guidance of their teachers, were highly appreciated.

Saniye Toroman, the teacher of special education students Abdülsamet and Şevval, expressed her pleasure in supporting the students' talents. Toroman said, "We have organized an exhibition with Samet and Şevval before. We had a similar event last year. This year, we participated in the exhibition organized by TÜBİTAK. We want our children to contribute to team training by organizing these exhibitions. Samet is very talented in origami, and Şevval draws. We support their talents to the fullest."

Emphasizing that the students are successful not only in the visual arts field but also in other courses, Toroman said, "We provide education in all courses, not just visual arts. For example, Samet is very good at math, so they are successful in other courses as well." Stating that the students will graduate this year, Toroman added that they want them to attend schools where they can further develop these skills in high school after graduation.

Abdülsamet's Passion for Origami Art Origami artist Abdülsamet Aytimir was quite excited while introducing his own works. "My name is Abdülsamet Aytimir. I do origami. Dragons, butterflies, animals, I can do everything. I also do characters. I know all of them. I do it by watching videos with my materials. My dream is to be a teacher. I want to teach by doing new things in origami," he said, sharing his goals for the future.

Şevval Güven, who is eye-catching with her paintings, expressed her dreams with the words, "I love being a painter and an actress. I love watching things on my phone. I love cartoons. I will be a painter when I grow up. I want to go to high school and university."
