Tesla started the year badly in Europe! Sharp decline in sales

While the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) published its January sales data, there was a major decline in sales of US-based electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla.

Accordingly, Tesla sales decreased by 50.3 percent in January. Tesla, which sold 15,130 vehicles in January 2024, sold 7,517 this year.

In contrast, sales of electric cars increased by one-third, while sales of hybrid electric cars increased by 18.4 percent. Sales of plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) fell by 8.5 percent.

Sales of electric vehicles, including hybrids, accounted for 57.2 percent of new car sales, compared with 47.4 percent in 2018.
