Aya Yorgi Bay in İzmir Çeşme was opened for development. The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change made a zoning change. The objections of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and Çeşme Municipality were accepted by the court, but the ministry made a zoning change for the second time.
TENDER WAS STARTED WITHOUT WAITING FOR THE COURTFor the second change, the Chamber of City Planners and environmental associations applied to the court. However, while the process was ongoing, Emlak Konut announced that a tender would be held on February 27 for the sale of three parcels of approximately 48 thousand square meters.
NEARLY 400 VILLAS WILL BE BUILTAccording to the plan, the company, which won the tender for the parcels on which 394 villa types and two-storey houses can be built, will carry out the marketing and sales of the real estate and give a share of the income to Emlak Konut.
'LAND WORTH MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WILL BE LOOTED'Speaking to Cumhuriyet, Çeşme Environmental Association President Ahmet Güler said, "They are not selling the land, they are selling the right to sell it. In other words, the state will not sell its own land itself, but will give power of attorney to someone to sell it, and those who receive this authority will plunder the 47-acre land in Aya Yorgi worth millions of dollars."
