What issues will be discussed in the Turkish Grand National Assembly this week?

The Assembly's agenda focused on critical steps to be taken for energy supply. The proposal, which includes regulations for the energy and mining sectors, is on the General Assembly's agenda.

The aim of the proposal is to increase the localization rate in energy production. Investment processes in strategic sectors such as transportation and mining, especially energy, will be accelerated. It is aimed to use underground resources more effectively.

Production conditions will be sought in mines

The most striking regulation in the mining sector is the re-introduction of idle centers to production. Non-producing facilities will also be closed. In the new period, investment guarantee application will be implemented. Businesses that meet this guarantee will be able to produce, and inspections will be increased.

A separate heading has been opened for wind energy. Applications for clean energy investments are expected to be finalized within 60 days. This important proposal is expected to be accepted in the Parliament this week and become law.

The proposal, which also includes a pension increase, will be discussed at the General Assembly

Following the discussions on the energy proposal, the regulation on retirement salaries will be discussed. The proposal, which increases the minimum retirement salary to 16,881 lira, was accepted by the Planning and Budget Commission. The regulation is planned to be accepted by the General Assembly before July 15.

The Foreign Affairs Committee will have international agreements on its agenda. The party leaders will address MPs at group meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday.
