At the rally organized for Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar, who was detained upon the statement given by Aziz İhsan Aktaş, who was released by benefiting from effective repentance in the IMM investigation, it was said, "You can try Mayor Zeydan because his forehead is clear, his head is held high, but we demand that he be tried without being detained."

A rally called "Adana defends its will" was organized by the CHP Adana Provincial Directorate in support of the Union of Turkish Municipalities Deputy Chairman and Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar. Atatürk Avenue was closed to traffic due to the large crowd at the rally. Many CHP mayors and provincial chairmen from surrounding provinces also attended the rally. CHP Adana Provincial Chairman Anıl Tanburoğlu addressed the crowd gathered in the area and said, "Dear Adana residents, my brothers in the front, my brothers in the back. What did I say yesterday? I said, 'Don't keep Mayor Zeydan in the detention center any longer, we will come twice as often.' Now I see that you have come three times as often. We are proud of you, Mayor Zeydan is proud of you. Good job."

CHP Adana Provincial Chairman Anıl Tanburoğlu requested justice from the government and said the following: "We have a demand. Adana has a demand. What is this demand? One; be fair, Two; don't arrest him. Don't arrest him at all. We said there is no accountability for President Zeydan that cannot be given. We said it is right before your eyes. We said it is among the people. We are renewing our demand. We are telling it to conscientious judges and prosecutors. The evidence of the man who claims that it happened seven years ago and slanders has not been obscured for seven years, will it be obscured again now? This trial while under arrest will not be fair. This will be political, political. That is why we can also try President Zeydan because his face is clean, his head is held high, but we demand that he be tried without being arrested.
