Bağcılar Municipality teams cleaned the house of a cancer patient

Bağcılar Municipality cleans the homes of needy, elderly district residents who have no one else. Teams equipped with all kinds of cleaning equipment, from vacuum cleaners to carpet washing machines, visit homes according to the prepared plan. The staff, who start by sweeping the house, wash and iron the laundry and curtains of those in need of care. After the kitchen, bathroom and rooms are cleaned in great detail, the windows are wiped, completing the daily cleaning.

Cancer patient Supiye Güçlü lives in one of the 400 houses where these procedures are carried out. Güçlü, who is 71 percent disabled, has difficulty doing housework. For this reason, Bağcılar Municipality, which she applied to, cleans Güçlü's house in need of help. Güçlü, who stated that she was very pleased with the service, said, “I have been an epilepsy patient since I was 30. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. My illnesses continue. That's why I can't do my housework. I learned from my friends that the municipality has such a service. The staff come and make my house sparkling. They make me very happy with their smiling faces and sweet words. In addition to cleaning, the smiling faces of the staff, their conversations with me and their consolation are a separate beauty.
