Ceasefire movement in the Middle East: Diplomatic offensive from Egypt to Iran and Israel

In a written statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that Minister Abdulati held telephone conversations with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Erakçi, Oman Foreign Minister Bedir al-Busaidi and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot.
It was also reported that Abdulati had a telephone conversation with US Special Representative for the Middle East Steve Witkoff and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi.
It was noted that the talks were held within the framework of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's instructions to intensify diplomacy with the aim of reducing regional tension, ensuring calm and supporting security and stability in the Middle East.
EMPHASIS ON JOINT EFFORTS TO STRENGTHEN THE CEASE-FIREThe statement stressed the need for joint efforts at the regional and international levels to strengthen the ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
In the talks between the parties, it was conveyed that the resumption of the diplomatic process with the aim of reaching a sustainable solution regarding Iran's nuclear program will contribute to the peaceful addressing of regional concerns and the reduction of tension.
The statement expressed that Egypt's efforts to reduce tension in the region and its constructive approach that serves the interests of all parties and aims to establish understanding and common ground are appreciated in terms of establishing security and stability in the Middle East.
