The main topic of the meeting is the Tomahawk missiles, which are being considered for delivery to Ukraine, and the Patriot air defense system is also expected to be discussed. If this scenario plays out, the world, especially Europe, faces a new crisis. Experts say that a Ukrainian strike on a Russian city with a Tomahawk missile could prompt Moscow to use nuclear weapons.

According to the French Press Agency (AFP), the US and Ukraine will hold talks regarding the planned delivery of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. A senior Ukrainian official told AFP that the talks scheduled for Friday between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump in Kyiv will focus on the possible delivery of American long-range Tomahawk missiles. The official added that the Tomahawk missiles will be the main topic of the meeting and that the Patriot air defense system will also be discussed.

If the US gives Ukraine its Tomahawk missiles, which have a range of 2,500 kilometers, Moscow will now be within range of Kyiv. If the US, which has promised to reconcile Ukraine and Russia if it becomes president, gives the Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, contrary to Trump's promise to "reconcile Ukraine and Russia," the situation will escalate the war even further.

Staff Colonel Ünal Atabay, a National Security and International Relations Strategist, commented on the situation on a television program, stating that the war between Ukraine and Russia has become chronic. He said, "From the beginning of the war until today, until the Tomahawk missiles, Europe and the US have competed to provide Ukraine with weapons and ammunition, increasing their range every day. With these moves, the US is putting pressure on Russia while simultaneously encouraging Ukraine. I've been saying this for a long time: you can't win a war with missiles. Tanks and planes have been provided before, but nothing has changed."

Academic Associate Professor Dr. Helin Sarı Ertem, speaking on the same TV program, stated that the US providing Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine could even escalate the issue into a nuclear crisis. She said, “On the one hand, we have a US President who believes he's reached a solution at a time when the Middle East is very active. We see him also addressing Ukraine and Russia with the same rapidity. If Trump can add another problem to the list of problems he's already solved, it will be another success story; but there are many problems. There's the issue of requesting Tomahawk missiles, and if that happens, how will the process proceed? There's talk, in particular, that Russia will definitely use nuclear weapons if its cities are hit by Tomahawk missiles. Trump won't remain silent if Putin resorts to harsher force. If he does, it would be playing into Russia's hands, and he won't do that. Assuming he responds, he could escalate the situation into a nuclear crisis.”
