Politics through the prosecutor

Politics in the country is increasingly turning into prosecutor politics. Certainly not all, but some prosecutors are not only gaining influence in the functioning of the country's politics, but they are also determining the essence of politics by suppressing the opposition.
This major qualitative change in politics needs to be examined in depth and length and from all aspects.
SHAPING POLITICSAs is known, trials have three legs; the first is the claim or argument; the second is the defense against it and the third is the decision.
There is a long forgotten truth: in our legal system, the accuser or the prosecutor is the “public prosecutor”. Therefore, when making an accusation on behalf of the public or the people, the prosecutor should never forget that he is a public prosecutor and that he must act with that responsibility. There is another truth that should not be forgotten; the independence of the judiciary , which historically experienced its brightest days with the 1961 Constitution, is now being tried to be completely forgotten.
The AKP -MHP government, with the completely politicized judiciary in its hands, has been pursuing a policy of intimidating the CHP , which it could not defeat at the ballot box in the March 30, 2024 Local Elections, through prosecutors after March 2025. Some prosecutors are doing politics instead of the government; they are making it their job to render the opposition incapable of working!
With the arrest of a total of 11 district mayors and presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu on March 19th, the political process through the prosecutor's office has been continuing in a multifaceted way in recent days. First, the CHP's November 3-4, 2023 Convention was brought to court with the participation of its collaborators. The CHP, whose hearing was postponed to September 8, is being tried as a party. That was not all; CHP's İzmir Mayor Tunç Soyer and 147 people affiliated with him were detained before March 30, 2023; arrests are one after another. Following the "100 Black Days" rally held in Saraçhane on July 1st, 48 young people, many of them handcuffed behind the back, were detained; an indictment was prepared to lift the immunity of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and the arrest of the Mayor and 35 employees in Manavgat; It becomes widespread immediately after the detention of the Mayors of Adana (Zeydan Karalar) and Adıyaman (Abdurrahman Tutdere)…
Although the pressure on the CHP is deepening and spreading, the AKP-MHP government's attempt to strangle the CHP, which it has understood cannot be defeated at the ballot box, by using prosecutors has no chance of success.
Because the society embraces the CHP, which has determined its presidential candidate and has not shown any despair, as proven by the "People's Will Supporting" rallies. The people are opposing the politics carried out by the prosecutors with all their might, despite all the obstacles and pressures. Candidate İmamoğlu's strong and resilient statements are also decisive.
SHOULD BE!In politics, there must undoubtedly be a prosecutor who serves on behalf of the people or the public; in politics, a prosecutor must be for clean politics.
The prosecutor must first shed light on unsolved political murders. If the perpetrator of a political murder remains unsolved, politics becomes crippled.
Then, the prosecutor acting on behalf of the people brings before the judges those who eradicate organized crimes; child rapists, those who commit violence against women; those who engage in corruption, those who commit stock market and money laundering crimes; those who rig public tenders. He puts on trial those who violate rights by showing favoritism in public employment!
There is another vital problem. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has been lying with statistics for years; the government determines workers, civil servants and pensions according to this lie. TÜİK is playing with millions of people's bread with its lies; civil servants are hungry, pensioners are beggars and children go to bed hungry. Inflation statistics were published on July 3; according to TÜİK, June inflation was 1.37 percent; and 35.5 percent annually. In contrast, ENAG, which is known to work more scientifically, calculates inflation as 3.05 percent monthly and 68.88 percent annually. Accordingly, the pension will increase by 16.67 percent from 14,469 TL to 16,881 TL at the beginning of July. However, let alone the great losses experienced in labor incomes for years, if only this month's pensions were increased according to ENAG data instead of TÜİK's, the increase would be twice as much as it is now. There is clearly a robbery here; the prosecutor should seize this robbery on behalf of those who live by their labor.
In the same context, the prosecutor should also take action on behalf of the people against tax evaders, those who rig public tenders and those who do business with bribery. It should be emphasized. As a result of the forest fires that have been going on for days and the number of which has reached six hundred, to put it in apt words, “the homeland is burning”. Those who directly or indirectly caused these fires, for example, in the Izmir region where the fire was most intense, are not brought before the judge even when there is concrete evidence.
In conclusion, if prosecutors had not engaged in politics, CHP local governments would not have been crushed, politics would not have gone off the rails; moreover, so many journalists would not have been silenced and independent news channels Halk TV and Sözcü TV would not have been closed. Society, as a rule, looks for prosecutors who purify or destroy politics, not those who engage in politics on behalf of politicians.
