The Junior National Team drew 1-1 with Hungary

Semih Kılıçsoy scored the national team's goal in the 6th minute of the match played at the MTK Stadium in Budapest. Zalan Vancsa scored Hungary's goal in the 14th minute.
In our other group match, Croatia beat Ukraine 1-0. Following this result, our Junior National Team moved into first place in its group with a game remaining.
The Turkish Ambassador to Budapest, Gülşen Karanis Ekşioğlu, and her husband, Ekrem Ekşioğlu, also watched the match from the stands. Following the match, Junior National Team Coach Egemen Korkmaz presented Ambassador Gülşen Karanis Ekşioğlu with a national team jersey bearing her name.
The Crescent-Stars will play their next matches in the qualifiers in November against Ukraine in Istanbul and away against Lithuania.
The nine group winners and the best second-placed team from each group will automatically qualify for the 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship Finals, co-hosted by Albania and Serbia. The remaining eight runners-up will then play in a play-off in November 2026 to qualify for the finals.
