When asked, “If the corruption allegations were about AKP mayors , do you think the same actions would or would not be taken?” it was determined that only 22 percent of the society said, “yes, they would” and 60 percent said, “no, they would not”.

In the survey, when asked, “What do you think about the arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu and CHP mayors?” 54 percent of the participants said, “I find the arrests unfair and political,” while 18 percent said, “I find the arrests lawful and appropriate.”

In the survey, 16 percent of those who said "It is too early to evaluate" and 12 percent of those who said they had no idea.

TCMB MADE DIRECT SALES

The TCMB announced that it had directly intervened in the foreign exchange market for the first time in approximately 4 years in the week following the sharp increase in the foreign exchange market that began with the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu on March 19. According to the data published on the TCMB website, direct interventions were made in the market twice, on March 24 and March 28. The Central Bank, which sold $295 million in the first intervention on March 24, sold $839 million in the second intervention on March 28. Thus, a total of $1 billion 134 million was directly sold to the market as a result of the two-day direct intervention.
