Prince Harry has been warned that "life could get difficult" following his visit to war-torn Ukraine, according to a royal commentator. The Duke of Sussex, 40, paid a visit to the UK to attend the Court of Appeal hearing into his security arrangements in Britain on April 8 and 9.

This two-day trip was then followed by a very short trip to the Ukrainian city of Lviv - something that could create more strain on Harry's tense relationship with US President Donald Trump, it is claimed. Speaking of Harry's recent visit, royal correspondent and commentator Richard Palmer told the Mail: "The reaction has been uniform. People are saying "hang on he's come over because he needs police protection because he's not safe in the UK. But then he's gone to a warzone in Ukraine.

"While the city is not on the frontline - it is getting regular bombardments, so it is quite a dangerous place to go."

At least 33 people are believed to have lost their lives in bombings in the city of Lviv since 2022. In one attack in September 2024, seven people were killed - including three children - while 50 were injured when Russia struck it with drones and hypersonic missiles in November.

In a warning to the former working royal, he also added: "I'm sure it will not go down with some in the Trump camp.

"It is a public show of support for [Volodymyr] Zelensky and Ukraine. So that may make life a little less comfortable for him in the US when he gets back."

President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky publicly clashed during a high-profile White House meeting in late February. The bust-up resulted in President Zelensky not signing a minerals deal that was widely seen as security guarantees for Ukraine in case of a ceasefire deal with Moscow.

In the past, President Trump also made negative remarks about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, saying in February he would not get Prince Harry deported if issues with his visa applications raised as the royal "got enough problems with his wife".
