NatWest to close 55 more branches in 2025 - full list

NatWest has announced it will close 55 more bank branches in the coming months, in addition to the 53 closures already planned for this year. This move reflects a broader trend among major banks to scale back their physical locations as more customers switch to online banking services.
A statement on NatWest’s website reads: “Banking has changed dramatically in recent years, with an increased demand for mobile and online services, as our customers benefit from a faster and easier way to bank. Closing a branch is a decision we take very seriously. We know it can affect those less confident with the alternatives we offer. We'll always work hard to guide and support you through the changes and find the best way to serve you from now on.”
Customers who need in-person assistance can still access services at any branch within the NatWest group, which includes the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Ulster Bank.
The Post Office also offers banking services such as cash deposits and withdrawals, balance enquiries, and cheque deposits.
Additionally, hundreds of ‘Banking Hubs’ have been launched to give more customers access to cash and services no matter who they bank with. People can find their closest location here.
