Argos is handing out cheap Fitbits but Amazon has something even better

If you’ve been thinking of getting a fitness tracker to help encourage you to exercise more, or if you think the current device on your wrist is a little long in the tooth, now could be the perfect time to invest. I noticed Argos is currently discounting each of the four latest Fitbit trackers and smartwatches, only to notice that you can save even more if you shop for them at Amazon.
Amazon is currently running a sale that also includes each of the four Fitbits, so you can pick up the right fitness tool for you for even less.
Down to £68.99 from £84.99, the Fitbit Inspire 3 is the most affordable Fitbit going. I’ve tested it extensively, and apart from it not having built-in GPS - you need to take your phone with you to track running and cycling routes - it is a surprisingly fully featured tracker. It counts steps, distance, calories and even tracks your sleep.
Like every Fitbit, it connects to your iPhone or Android phone and with the Fitbit app gives you access to a daily readiness score that helps you keep on top of your health stats. The small, lightweight gadget even lets you know if it detects an irregular heart beat, can measure blood oxygen levels and more besides.
You even get six months free access to Fitbit Premium when you buy the Inspire 3 or any Fitbit for that matter. This unlocks deeper insights into your data and normally costs £7.99 per month, but I find the Fitbit app is perfectly usable without this subscription.
If you want a few more features, the Fitbit Charge 6 is on sale for £107.99, usually £139.99. I’ve used and fully reviewed this tracker and can attest it’s excellent. It has built-in GPS so you can leave your phone at home and still track run routes, one of the main reasons to pick it over the Inspire.
It also has an ECG app to assess your heart rhythm, plus an EDA scanning feature to monitor stress by measuring changes in skin temperature. Handily, the slim tracker also supports Google Wallet, so you can add your payment cards for contactless payments. There’s even Google Maps turn by turn directions support right on your wrist.
I personally prefer Fitbit’s trackers to its smartwatches, but if you want a larger screen there are two options. The Fitbit Versa 4 is currently £148.99 on Amazon, a decent saving on its RRP of £179.99. It doesn’t add too much over the Charge 6, but the larger screen makes things easier to read, such as text notifications from your phone. You can also take calls on your wrist, and the altimeter counts floors climbed. The Wallet and Maps apps are also present and correct.
If you want the most fully-featured Fitbit around, the Fitbit Sense 2 is now £179, £40 less than its RRP. At the time of writing there aren’t many in stock, but I personally don’t think you need the additional stress tracking features on the Sense, so would suggest spending less anyway.
