Berlin: Twelve-year-old crashes into bridge while surfing on S-Bahn, companions leave him behind

A twelve-year-old boy hit his head against a bridge while surfing on the roof of a Berlin S-Bahn train , seriously injuring himself. The boy was riding on the roof of a S1 S-Bahn train between Feuerbachstrasse and Wannsee stations on Friday evening with two other surfers, police reported. After the collision with the bridge, he remained unconscious on the roof.
His two companions are said to have pulled him from the roof onto the platform at Rathaus Steglitz S-Bahn station and fled. Witnesses filmed the incident. The police were alerted and searched for the two S-Bahn surfers, but could not find them. The police are investigating them for failure to render assistance. The twelve-year-old was taken to hospital with several fractures to his head. According to information from the police, the boy is a Russian citizen.
