It is pertinent that Adán Augusto speaks about Bermúdez Requena, Sheinbaum declared.

President Claudia Sheinbaum believes it would be "very good" and "relevant" for Senator Adán Augusto López to give his version of events regarding Hernán Bermúdez Requena's ties to "La Barredora."
"It would be pertinent for the senator to also give his version. It's important. For example, during Senator Adán Augusto's first term as governor, insecurity levels in Tabasco dropped dramatically. Homicides fell significantly. This speaks to the work that was done when he was governor. The investigation into this person, who was a secretary, came later," the governor emphasized on the fourth day of questioning on the issue.
At the same time, the head of the Federal Executive ruled out that the case would have a political cost for her administration, insisting that the Attorney General's Office is conducting the investigation and that the Security Cabinet will provide details of the case next Tuesday.
Despite this, Sheinbaum Pardo insisted (not imposed, she said) on the importance of the Morena senators' coordinator speaking out on the case, but it will be his decision.
"The senator must also give his version so that it can be known and people can assess the role he played as governor, particularly in the area of security. And, in any case, if there are investigations, then they must continue. We are not going to protect or cover for anyone," he emphasized.

The Attorney General's Office is seeking former Adán Augusto official. The day before yesterday, President Sheinbaum announced that the Attorney General's Office (FGR) has an arrest warrant against the former López Hernández official.
This Wednesday, when questioned about the status of the case against the former official appointed by the then governor of Tabasco, Adán Augusto, the Mexican president confirmed the cases opened against him for alleged organized crime and drug trafficking.
"Yes, they are both from the State Attorney General's Office and the Attorney General's Office," she emphasized. When asked by the press whether it was the Attorney General's Office, Sheinbaum Pardo replied, "Yes."
"These are investigation files that already have an arrest warrant (...) in this case, it is an arrest warrant," she added. In turn, the head of the Executive branch stated that the Security Cabinet will provide more details on the case.
