Uber doesn't have to transfer its obligations to the user: Sheinbaum

President Claudia Sheinbaum stated that Uber does not have to transfer its employer obligations to its users.
This Friday, the president was questioned about the platform's announcement that it would increase its rates by 7 percent to offset its members' Social Security contributions. The Mexican president emphasized that the company has sufficient profits to do so without increasing costs.
"Uber has impressive profits. This shouldn't be passed on to the end consumer; they should be giving it to the worker. It's not true that they should be passing it on, but rather that they should truly accept that these are people who require social security, and that they, as employers, should be responsible for it," he emphasized.
