Analysts estimate a slight acceleration in inflation for June.

According to Analytica , the June CPI will be 1.7%. The firm noted that the category that had the greatest impact—unlike the previous month—was food and beverages, which showed a rise of 1.8%. They also detailed that the largest increases in the average over the last four weeks were in coffee, tea, yerba mate, and cocoa (+5.2%) and sugar, sweets, chocolates, etc. (+4.2%). Among the categories with the smallest increases were bread and cereals (+1.3%).

In addition, LCG 's price survey showed that June closed with an average monthly increase of 2.1% in food and beverage prices, led by increases in meat (+1.1%), vegetables (+0.8%), and ready meals (+0.3%).

Then there's what Equilibra reported: "According to our surveys, June inflation is on track to close around 2%, led by an increase in regulated prices (above 3% monthly)." The consulting firm explained that the reasons behind this figure are linked to the fact that regulated prices once again led the way, setting a floor for inflation for the month.

"They rose 0.6% weekly, following the increase in gasoline prices (except for YPF, companies in the sector increased by 5%). Core inflation rose 0.2%, and seasonal inflation fell 0.2% for the week ," explained the Equilibra Economic Analysis Center.

Econoviews also recorded increases in the food and beverage basket: "Among the categories, greengrocers stand out (+1.1%). In the last four weeks, the basket has accumulated a 1.9% increase." The data comes after INDEC reported in May that "food and non-alcoholic beverages" was one of the categories with the least variation, recording 0.5%, one percentage point below the general level.
