Lufthansa announces the elimination of 4,000 jobs by 2030

Europe's largest airline group, Lufthansa, announced on Monday the elimination of 4,000 jobs by 2030, mainly in Germany, as part of a plan to strengthen its profitability.
This workforce reduction, the largest since the COVID-19 pandemic, will be carried out "in consultation with social partners" and "will focus on administrative positions rather than operational functions," the German company stated in a statement published during the group's investor day.
