More than 1.3 million travelers will travel this long weekend in San Pedro and San Pablo, Colombia , according to projections from the Ministry of Transportation, which has implemented a national mobility and road safety plan.

"We recommend that travelers plan their trip in advance, check road conditions through channel #767 or the National Road Institute (Invías) social media and website, respect speed limits and traffic regulations, and verify the validity of their Mandatory Traffic Accident Insurance (Soat), the technical and mechanical inspection , and the vehicle's documents," the Ministry of Transportation stated.

For example, the National Highway Institute (Invías) reported that it has 1,093 operators at 36 toll plazas, with special shifts during peak hours , available to respond to emergencies. Priority attention will be given to areas affected by the rains, such as Nariño, Boyacá, Chocó, and Huila.
The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) confirmed that it will have more than 6,450 active personnel across 41 road corridors and 116 toll plazas under its control . Special attention will also be paid to high-traffic corridors such as Bogotá-Girardot, Bogotá-Villavicencio, Mocoa-Neiva, the Pacific, and the Coffee Regions.
Meanwhile, the National Road Safety Agency (ANSV) announced it has activated inter-institutional coordination committees across the country, with more than 1,100 local stakeholders in constant contact 24/7. It also indicated that campaigns such as motorcycle skills training and technical presence will be deployed in 258 municipalities with educational and preventive operations.

Likewise, the Transportation Superintendency is conducting inspections at 26 terminals, 25 airports, 18 water bodies, 5 cable car stations, and 19 toll booths.
