Khamenei warns the US of "irreparable damage" if it intervenes militarily against Iran.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has warned the United States that it will suffer "irreparable damage" if it takes military action against Iran.
"Americans should know that any US military intervention will undoubtedly cause irreparable damage ," the ayatollah said in his second televised address since the start of the conflict, after US President Donald Trump yesterday called for Tehran's "unconditional surrender" and called Khamenei an "easy target."
Khamenei insists that Iran will never surrender, whether to an "imposed war" or an "imposed peace ." "Those with wisdom who know Iran, its people, and its history will never use the language of threat to address this nation, because they will never surrender," the leader said.
"Americans must know that the Iranian nation will not surrender and that any military intervention on their part will undoubtedly cause irreparable damage," Khamenei said. "This nation will not surrender to anyone, to the imposition" of a war.
The 85-year-old religious leader asserts that the Iranian Armed Forces are "fully prepared" to defend the country and have the support of the government.
"Intelligent people who know Iran's history will never speak to this nation in threatening language because the Iranian nation cannot be surrendered," he said, in an apparent reference to Trump's remarks.
Trump yesterday called for Iran's "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!" in a series of messages in which he asserted that he knows "where" Khamenei is hiding , but ruled out killing him "for now ." Iran's highest political and religious authority has not referred to the assassination threat.
Regarding Israel, the Ayatollah said that the country "made a grave mistake and will face the consequences of its actions." "Our people will not forgive the blood of its martyrs or the violations of its airspace," he asserted.
Israel launched a bombing campaign against Iran early Friday morning, claiming to be halting Iran's nuclear program. Tehran responded with a similar response, resulting in the deaths of more than two hundred people in Iran and twenty in Israel.
Russia warns the United StatesRussia, for its part, also warned the United States today against direct involvement in the armed conflict between Israel and Iran, as this would "radically destabilize" the situation.
"We warn Washington against such actions and even speculation about them. This would radically destabilize the entire situation," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told the Interfax news agency.
