Aistech Space will receive an injection of up to 22.5 million euros from the CDTI (Spanish Institute of Technology and Innovation).

Aistech Space, a Catalan space technology company, has been recognized as a strategic technology company by the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI). It will participate in the Series B financing round that the company plans to close this year, through a €22.5 million co-investment through its SICC Innvierte vehicle.
The company specializing in the development of satellites for thermal Earth observation has already raised €8.5 million in the current round, as reported by EXPANSIÓN on June 4. This figure includes participation from Global Portfolio Investment, the holding company owned by the Domínguez family and owners of Mayoral, with €8 million, and Pelliga Family Office, the Pellicer family's firm, with half a million.
The CDTI's support is part of the Innvierte initiative, aimed at promoting investment in innovative, high-potential Spanish companies . This transaction is part of a series of recent joint investments made by CDTI Innovation in strategic sectors such as sustainable mobility, artificial intelligence, and space propulsion.
Founded in 2015 by Carles Franquesa, current CEO, Aistech Space focuses on the manufacture and operation of space-based thermal observation systems with applications in climate change management, food safety, fire prevention, and geopolitical surveillance.
With this transaction, Aistech Space becomes part of a group of innovative companies supported by the CDTI in key sectors such as aerospace, defense, and biotechnology.
