The National Police are warning the public about the problem of spam calls: "You have two options"

There's no doubt that one of the most annoying things about phones and mobiles is the frequent spam calls—calls from unknown numbers that pursue commercial objectives or are even scams to obtain personal and/or banking information. That's why the National Police have issued a warning to the public : "Take control and redirect them directly."
This is stated in a post on their official X account (formerly Twitter), where they shared a video in which an officer explains the options for avoiding these calls: "Are you bothered by calls from unknown numbers? Take control and redirect them directly to your spam folder . Avoid unnecessary risks," they write.
Two options against spam callsThe agent explains that there are two options: "One is to activate the 'phone settings' function and ' silence calls from unknown numbers .' All incoming calls will go to your voicemail and appear in your recent calls list," she says.
"If you have to receive an emergency call, don't worry, because this function will be disabled for the next 24 hours so they can contact your phone," he assures regarding this first option to take to avoid spam calls.
" The second option is to download an app to detect unwanted calls, which you can activate from the same settings. When you receive a call, it will appear as an unwanted call or telemarketing call, and sometimes the app may automatically block the call."
"If you prefer to do it manually , you can block the number and it will appear in your blocked contacts list," he explains regarding this second option.
