WhatsApp Web is experiencing a global outage: users reported website failures and there has been no statement yet from Meta.
On the morning of Tuesday, November 4th , thousands of users reported outages with WhatsApp Web , the desktop version of the messaging service. The Downdetector website, which tracks these types of reports, registered the highest volume of outages starting at 8:54 am.
So far, there has been no statement from Meta, the company that manages the social network, while it is estimated that millions of users worldwide may have been affected in actions such as logging in, sending messages, or downloading files and images.

These reports were registered primarily from 8:39 a.m. onwards, but increased as the minutes passed, and the number of reports continued to grow by the hundreds.

On social media, the most frequent complaint from users is that the platform prevents them from seeing messages and chats. In some cases, it even indicates that the computer has no connection, despite the computer reporting a positive network connection.
Downdetector, for its part, received the majority of reports (88%) related to the website in general (message loading problems, opening the application in the browser, among other things).
This is followed by problems with message history (7%) and login (5%) concentrated in different parts of the world.

In Colombia, according to the map provided by the same reporting website, the outages were concentrated in major cities such as Bogotá, Medellín, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Cali, and Manizales. Additionally, the WhatsApp Business service was also reported to be down , which, although less severe, affected communication for thousands of entrepreneurs across the country who use the platform.
In countries like Mexico, Argentina, and Chile , according to the aforementioned website, outages and failures of these services were also reported . For now, Meta, the company that manages this social network's service, has not commented on the outage, which, based on the number of reports, appears to be temporary and is already being resolved.

Despite the website issue, users reported that the mobile app continues to function correctly for other services, such as message reception and server connection. No outages have been reported in this regard, which is a relief for those who can use it on their phones.
For those who prefer to use it on their computer rather than through a web browser, it's recommended to download the application directly to their desktop for macOS or Windows , depending on their operating system. Alternatively, they can search for the available version in app stores (App Store, Microsoft Store, or Play Store).
