Interpol published this red notice (a wanted notice issued to other countries) for the murder of Sid Ahmed Berrayeh, born in Tlemcen in Algeria, as revealed by the regional daily Le Progrès .
The victim, who was employed in a nightclub in Saint-Étienne, was found dead "at her home on February 9 by a member of her family who was worried about having no news," one of her relatives told AFP.
The young man, whose body (partially lying on a sofa and on the floor) showed no visible signs of violence by firearm or blade, had been strangled, which caused him to stop breathing, a source close to the investigation told AFP. The discovery of cannabis and cocaine residue had also pointed the investigations towards the drug trafficking community.
