A fire breaks out on the terrace of a restaurant in the heart of Juan-les-Pins

A fire broke out this Sunday around 6 p.m. at the L'Institution restaurant, located on Boulevard du Président-Wilson, opposite the Pam Pam and near the Pinède, in the heart of Juan-les-Pins.

The fire, located on the restaurant terrace, was on the ground floor of a two-story building, although there was no risk of it spreading to the upper floors.

Eight engines and 34 firefighters on site

Firefighters quickly responded, deploying eight fire engines and 34 firefighters. The fire was brought under control using a fire hose.

Despite the dense crowds in the streets of the seaside resort this early evening, fortunately, no injuries were reported. As a safety precaution, ten people were evacuated from the scene, but their condition did not require transport to a hospital. The street was temporarily closed to traffic while emergency services responded.
