Eight years ago, Bruno Peyroles, the founder of Bureau Vallée, launched his retail brand in a transition to a shareholder foundation. Today, a quarter of the company's shares belong to his endowment fund. for a happy planet.

At 70, Bruno Peyroles has almost always lived with a sense of ecological urgency. “I was 10 years old when my parents bought an old mill in Auvergne, near my grandparents. I spent my days in the river teeming with animals. Little by little, I saw this abundant life disappear. The river was dying, while agricultural yields climbed, boosted by chemicals. This had a profound impact on me.”
